Research interests

I am a literary and book historian with a PhD in literary studies (2022) and MAs in Polish philology (2018) and art history (2019). My research focuses on the cultural history of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries (Reformation and Renaissance writing in Central Europe, particularly Poland-Lithuania and Prussia), as well as the history of the book, reading, and printing in the early modern period.

In my doctoral dissertation, I explored the artistic and intellectual transfer between Polish and Italian Protestant dissidents, focusing on the case of the Polish translation of Bernardino Ochino’s Tragedy on the Mass (1560). Since then, I have been investigating how Renaissance and Reformation ideas were disseminated in the intellectual centres of sixteenth-century Poland-Lithuania and Prussia, with particular attention to how the medium of print was used within these multilingual milieus.

I collaborate with the Early Printed Books Department at the University of Warsaw Library and, within the Consortium of European Research Libraries (CERL), I am developing the Polish Provenance Database (https://data.cerl.org/ppd) together with Dr Maryna Osuch and Helena Nebel (SUB Göttingen).

I have been a visiting fellow at the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel (2021 and 2025) and the Forschungszentrum Gotha der Universität Erfurt (2026). In 2022, I was awarded the START fellowship by the Foundation for Polish Science, and in 2025 I received the Minister of Science scholarship for early-career researchers.
