The Section of the Literature of Romanticism conducts research and teaching in the scope of Polish romantic literature, regarding the European context and the romantic heritage in the literature of next periods.

Researchers interpretate the literary works of Adam Mickiewicz, Juliusz Słowacki, Zygmunt Krasiński, Cyprian Norwid and other romantic poets. The Section conducts the intertextual and comparative research, including history, history of ideas, history of art and culture, metaphysics, philosophy etc. in the works of the romantics.

Apart from the regular course on the History of Romanticism the Section offers BA, MA and PhD seminars.

Students scientific groups affiliated to the Sections: Scientific Group of the Correspondence of Arts, Juliusz Słowacki Scientific Group. The Niewinni-czarodzieje.pl cultural website is supervised by the member of the Section (1st supervisor was dr. Maria Makaruk, the present is dr. Tomasz Jędrzejewski).

Informacja dla studentów uczestniczących w zajęciach z przedmiotu „historia literatury polskiej – romantyzm“:

Aby przystąpić do egzaminu, należy uzyskać zaliczenie 60 godzin ćwiczeń z historii literatury romantyzmu. Warunkiem uzyskania zaliczenia są obecność na zajęciach i udział w nich (szczegółowe ustalenia podaje na początku semestru prowadzący zajęcia) oraz napisanie pracy rocznej, której temat student uzgadnia z prowadzącym.
