We would like to inform you that the NAWA – SPINAKER programme (“Pomiędzy słowami” – school of literature, history, and knowledge of Polish language for foreign students) will be implemented at the Faculty of Polish Studies of the University of Warsaw (Institute of Polish Literature and Institute of Polish Language) from the 1st of July this year. The programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund within the framework of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, a non-competitive project entitled ” Supporting the institutional capacity of Polish higher education institutions through the creation and implementation of international study programs” (Action 3.3. Internationalization of Polish higher education), specified in the application for project co-financing No. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN 16/18).
The project objectives will be to create a new intensive international educational programme and to organize a school of history of literature and knowledge of Polish language for foreign students (undergraduate and postgraduate). Classes in English will be held in two sessions: winter (online: 22.11-5.12.2021) and summer (online: 25-29.05 and onsite: 9-13.05.2022). Participants will receive scholarships (of about EUR 1,400) to reimburse travel, accommodation, and food costs.
Planned effects: raising the level of remote teaching, internationalization of the teaching programme at the Institute of Polish Literature and the Institute of Polish Language, attracting foreign students to the teaching offer of the Faculty of Polish Studies and strengthening its position in the field of Polish culture studies, preparing the infrastructure for similar activities in the future.
